Chapter Event

245th Anniversary of Ruddles Station Massacre

Please join the Lafayette Chapter and the KYSSAR Eastern Brigade Color Guard as we honor the memory of the hundreds of Patriots, Pioneers, and family members that were massacred at Ruddle’s Station in June of 1780.

At 10:00 am the SAR Color Guard will post the Colors and fire a Flintlock salute. At 11:00 am we will move to the Lair Family Crypt to Sound Taps and perform Mourn on Arms in memory of some of the slaughtered that had their remains moved to this crypt in the cliff overlooking the Licking River.

Rifle Training Class

GPS Coordinates for this location are 36.73544, -86.84555.  Time is to be determined and will be announced later.

The current plan is to review the safety material and do rifle drills in the morning. After a break for lunch, we will focus on making cartridges and live firing salutes. Patrick Wesolosky, Richard Quire and myself will assist with the training.

NOTE:  A lunch will be provided. We will need a headcount to prepare for this. Please notify me by February 12 if you plan to attend.
